What is the promotion process of IBPS Clerk?

After working as IBPS clerks for at least two years, candidates may apply for the promotions. After two years of service, IBPS Clerks gets promoted once every two years. IBPS clerks are promoted based on their seniority, experience, and performance in an internal written exam. Upon passing the written exam, candidates can advance to the position of the probationary officer (PO) at a bank. Promotions are also given based on merit. The promotion levels are given below:
Assistant Manager Scale I
Manager Scale 2
Senior Manager Scale 3
Chief Manager Scale 4
Assistant General Manager Scale 5
Deputy General Manager Scale 6
General Manager Scale 7
