  • The cutoff score in CAT (Common Admission Test) required to pursue an MBA (Master of Business Administration) programme may vary depending on the institute you wish to apply to. Each institute has its own cutoff score, which is determined based on various factors such as the number of seats available, the number of applicants, the difficulty level of the exam, and the category of the candidate. Generally, top business schools in India such as the Indian Institutes of Management (Iims) have a high cutoff score for admission to their MBA programs. In general, a percentile score above 90 is considered a good score in the CAT exam, and it

Hi. DEBASHIS. The required cutoff in CAT to pursue an MBA/PGDM at GIBS Business School in Bangalore, India, may vary from year to year depending on the number of applicants and the overall difficulty level of the exam. However, generally, candidates who score above the 50th percentile in CAT are considered eligible for admission to most MBA/PGDM programs, including GIBS Business School. It is important to note that the CAT score is just one of the factors considered in the admission process, and meeting the cutoff does not guarantee admission. Other factors such as academic performance, work experience, extracurricular activities, and

Every college has its own cut-off, if you are planning for top MBA institutes then you have to give your best as their cut-off is never less than 96-99. Every college has different variants in selecting a candidate as they give priority to sectional cut-off or your overall academic performance.

Hi. Debashis, Its depends upon college to college. But I would say being alumni of GIBS Bangalore - Top B-School in Bangalore has changed my life career growth. At GIBS Bangalore the cutoff is 60%percentile along with they conduct self exam process for qualifing seats. For me, GIBS Bangalore is one of the best colleges for management and lives up to its name. They have the best innovative and updated educational curriculum specially curated for its students. Apart from that, they have excellent faculty members and they are always there to guide you. The campus is corporate style.

If you are a general, and if you don't get 95 percentile and above in CAT then you'll not get a chance in any IIMs.

It thoroughly depends on the branch of IIM, you are asking for, but for a rough idea 90- 98 percentile is recommended.

Dear Debashis, I don't know the required cutoff in CAT to pursue MBA but being alumni of LPU, I can tell you about the MBA at LPU. At LPU, you are required to have a minimum of 80 percentile in the CAT exam for admission to MBA. Moreover, you have to qualify for the interview conducted by LPU. Being alumni of LPU, I highly recommend LPU for an MBA degree based on the following things-
The Business School of LPU is accredited by ACBSP, Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs from the USA ensuring quality education and industry-experienced faculty members, studying in LPU will get a degree accredited from a body of USA. Pl

CAT cut offs for top IIMS usually range from 99 to 100 percentile for General category students. For reserved category students, the CAT exam cut offs are slightly lower around 95 to 98 percentile. The cut offs for admission to top MBA colleges such as FMS, MDI, SPJIMR among others, range from 95 to 99 percentile. Hope it helps.
