    Scope of B.Sc. Agricultural now days is in research in agricultural based companies. If I talk about college, LPU is the best for agricultural course.

    Agricultural graduates are absorbed as 'Agricultural Development Officers' by state governments. Banks also have special posts as specialist officers for agricultural graduates. A billion dollar private sector industry exists in contract farming, fertilizer, pesticide, /agrochemicals, farm forestry etc. That hires agricultural graduates. If you do MBA in agribusiness management and are upwardly mobile sky is the limit for salaries/perks offered. You can do Masters and Ph.D. and get absorbed in teaching/research in the Agricultural Universities/ ICAR Agricultural Research Service (Central Government). Private players also

    B.Sc. Agriculture is a good course with good placement opportunities, as you can be employed by any private or government firm or you can start your own work or even you can start your career as a lecturer.

    Dear Neeraj, Lovely professional University School of Agriculture is among Punjab and India's Best Agriculture colleges. It lays thrust on carrying out research in agricultural and allied fields. The university has well-equipped Laboratories, Library, lecture rooms, and excellent farm facility to conduct agricultural experiments. I did MBA from LPU, During my post graduation years I had few friends from agriculture department, Sometimes I used to visit fields, Labs with them they also discussed about placements, academic, placements etc. So I have Idea about this course.     Dear Neeraj, There are ample of opportunities in this field both in Government and in Private sector. Getting a good job depends on various factors like from where you have done your Graduation, your skills, your knowledge about the field, the Industrial experience and exposure if you have any.     B.Sc. In Agriculture is a broad-based course with great potential. It deals with things like food production, horticulture, animal rearing, rural economy and rural development, environmental health, etc. Other industries may face downsizing but agriculture can never fall prey because food is the basic necessity for life.     A degree in agriculture gives you the skills and knowledge to deal with agricultural sales, agriculture business, food production, etc. Self employment opportunities are also available in this field.     Lots of Government as well as Private job opportunities are present in front of Graduates. Talking about Government jobs, State Agriculture Departments recruits Graduates to fill up Officer level posts. Government Banks also recruits Graduates to fill up Officer level posts (generally dealing with Loans). Talking about Private Sector jobs, graduates may find jobs as Managers at Plantations, as Officers at Fertilizer Manufacturing firms, Agriculture Machinery Industries, Agricultural Products Marketing firms, Food processing units etc.
