During each semester, students have to face different sets of written exams as well as practical and lab sessions. Though there are many universities or Colleges offering BCA. The scope of any subject depends upon your interest. If you have interest towards programming and study it by heart, then your scope in that course is good. If you don't have any interest in programming and just want to pursue it to get a degree, then it is of no use. Everything depends upon your interest. If you have interest in any field you'll do well in that field.
