What is the scope of computer engineering in India?

Computer engineering: The scope in this field has always been high and is still growing. Almost all the engineering colleges including all the IITs, NITs, state universities and private engineering colleges offer computer science as one of the core streams. It simply overwhelms you with opportunities and till date offers one of the most high-paying jobs.

Hello Anupam, CSE stream has got great job opportunities. Computer science offers a variety of options and opportunities on course completion. The obvious option of getting employed in software sector is quite alive, as more and more opportunities are getting created on a regular basis. Apart from that, computer science enthusiasts and graduates are also placed in a variety of sectors including information technology, system administration and banking. So, if you are interested in programming, then you should definitely go for this stream and you don't need to have prior experience in it. Also, you should target some of the better universities out there for admission like: IIT, NIT, BITS, DU, UPES-Dehradun, UTM-Shillong which have good infrastructure and provide quality education and placements as well. See, if you become an expert in practicals or able to solve the problem on the job, it has a scope there. Today, there are a lot of courses like BCA, MCA, BE, ME, in computers but not able to work practically. So, there are no scope. So, its up to you whether how hard you are willing to do.

B.Tech computer science has huge scope in India. After computer science, you have huge opportunities to work in software companies. Initially, salary range at average institutions is Rs.25, 000 per month to Rs.50, 000 per month. In IIT average salary is Rs.9 lakhs per annum to Rs.15 lakhs per annum.

Hello Anupam, In India, CSE is one of the fields in demand. Candidates from top universities and from IIT’s, NIT’s and BIT’s get paid exorbitantly. It involves jobs in: 1. Software development. 2. Web designing. 3. Software testing and much more. Programming in today’s world has been stretched even further into other fields like mechanical and electronics. Hence, its demands have been increasing. CSE is now a booming field and has high demand in the market. Programming has a lot of new innovations and has taken the top position in placements as compared to the other fields. Students who love programming and designing or have a creative mind with a good understanding of coding can get into CSE and fit in very easily. Not only does CSE offer some of the highest paying jobs in campus, but also outside. There are people who do freelancing and get paid very well at their leisure. But, there are some disadvantages. All candidates may not get paid that high amount but the fun involved in this field is what gets people fascinated. Creating your own websites, making app’s etc. makes you feel on top of the world. Though not all but there are a few who make it to the top with exciting new inventions.
