Let me first say this as a practicing 'Clinical Psychologist' that there is great scope for a career in Clinical Psychology in India today. To begin with you may want to do an undergraduate course (either a BA or BA Hons) in Psychology from any of the reputed state colleges in India (better to steer clear of the likes of Amity/LPU). The admissions might be on the basis of merit or on the basis of an entrance exam, depending on which university you are applying to. The 3 year undergraduate course will (generally) have papers on General Psychology, Social Psychology, Developmental Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, some Statistics and (pro

Psychology is a highly rewarding and lucrative field of study. A psychologist salary depends on many factors like his/her qualification, area of specialization, and experience in the profession. Professional psychologists with M.Phil and Ph.D degree earn quite handsomely. Those engaged in private practice have more scope for earnings.

As a professional "Clinical Psychologist, " let me first remark that there is a lot of opportunity for a career in Clinical Psychology in India right now. To start, you could choose to enrol in an undergraduate psychology study (either a B.A. Or B.A. Hons) at one of the reputable state institutions in India; it's best to avoid places like Amity/LPU. Depending on the university you are applying to, admissions may be based on merit or on the results of an entrance exam.
