What is the scope of MBA in advertising and PR? Which entrance exam do I need to qualify in order to pursue the same?

Hi Vikrant, Advertising and public relations are the major divisions of any industry so that they can remain competitive. Advertising and public relations become all the more important for the organisations that have operations across the globe. The purpose behind this is that they have to communicate with the people of different cultures. Hence, they use public relations to bridge the gap of communication. Although, there are various levels of employees in the advertising and PR agencies, one with a postgraduate Diploma or degree can have a flourishing career in advertising and public relations. Advertising manager, marketing communications manager, sales manager and public relation director are some of the major job opportunities in this field. Some of the major advertising agencies in India are- Lintas India Ltd, Triton Communications Pvt Ltd, Usha Kaal Advertising Pvt Ltd, Ogilvy and Mather Ltd, Madison Advertising Pvt Ltd, Mudra Communications Ltd, etc. India is also a good destination for starting a career in public relations. Some of the good PR agencies in India are Insight Communications Services, Howard Ruben public Relations, Porter Novelli, Allison public Relations, Eileen Koch and Company, NM Marketing Communications Inc., etc. Important: Admission in the majority of colleges in India is merit-based. However, few universities like Rai University considers the scores of entrance test for admission to the programme. For example, Rai University considers the scores of national and state level entrance exams and Kushabhau Thakre University conducts their own entrance exam.
