    MBBS: Candidates are selected on the basis of their merit in NEET UG conducted by NTA. BPT/GNM/B.Sc Nursing: Candidates are selected on the basis of their merit in JENPAS UG conducted by WBUHS

    Selection criteria for the MBBS course at Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research (IPGMER) shall conform to the following:

    Qualifying NEET-UG Exam:
    The candidate shall have a valid score of NEET-UG.

    Merit-Based Counseling:
    Admission are done on the basis of NEET-UG rank through state (West Bengal) counseling under the state quota seats or through all-India counseling for national seat quota.

    Domicile Requirement (State Quota):
    Qualification of domicile in West Bengal is necessary for candidates applying under state quota seats.

    Reservation:
    Seat allocation as per Government Reservation policy SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwD reservations.
