    Hello,
College that you graduate and also your knowledge, it may happen that you graduate from good college but you did not study hard, when it comes to placement they will test you if you don't have that knowledge you will lose that offer. Suppose you are from Sharda University the salary can go up to Rs. 7-10 Lacs, Economics honors from top 10 colleges can fetch you a salary on average of Rs. 6 Lacs per annum. Rest of the colleges would get you the average of Rs. 20-25 thousand. Thank you.

The majority of economists work independently in an office, many collaborate with other economists and statisticians. Most economists work full time during regular business hours, but occasionally they work overtime to meet deadlines. Starting salaries for an economist can be anywhere from 25,000 to 35,000, rising to up to 40,000.

Economics is a good stream, there are many opportunities. The minimum salary for Financial Analyst in good company is 44000 dollar per annum. In India that would less but you easily fetch above 5 Lacs. You can also apply for Indian Economic Services, RBI, etc. for these minimum payscale would be 40000 plus perks.

15 thousand approximately, but the criteria you are choosing is important whether you are going to work in an industry, or in an academic establishment. It can vary if you choose to go for self-employment.
