What is the starting salary for an economics graduate from Delhi University?

Just after graduation, job opportunities aren't very promising except in a few big corporates like BCG and Brain which place people at the position of junior analyst for 10 LPA. For other companies, average placement offers are around 4-5 LPA. Your college name, university recognition, aggregate marks and interview play a key role in this. From A very promising Person (DU)

It varies according to your college. If you are in top 5-6 college you will get a decent package just after graduation. But in top 20 colleges you will have to give extra effort to get a good pay but after that you will have to work really hard to prove your worth. The decent pay can fall anywhere between 6-10 LPA. I would suggest you to go for Masters as many peers of my batch and even seniors are doing the same.

The salary may vary from 15 to 25 thousand and most importantly the skills of an individual are considered, if the skill set so demanded by the company is satisfied then the variations may arise in salary as it would rise up from the limit. So make sure the university so acknowledged must be considered by students as a stage to explore the skill set and grow within the course, ultimately students would only be the determinant of salary. Key is knowledge and skills, the rest one can make them bound to exercise limits over the decided slabs. All the very best, Trust the process.
