<p>Depending on the category, different subjects are covered in the KTET syllabus. Language proficiency, pedagogy, mathematics, and child development are covered in Category 1 (Lower Primary). Higher-level subjects are covered in Category 2 (Upper Primary), whereas Category 3 (High School) contains subjects including science, maths and social studies along with specialised teaching techniques. Category 4 covers pedagogy and specialised language subjects. Each exam assesses applicants according to the particular grade they plan to teach, taking into account both topic knowledge and instructional strategies.</p>
