An extensive range of subjects pertaining to accounting, auditing, taxation, financial management, and other aspects of business and finance are covered in the syllabus of the ICAI (Institute of Chartered Accountants of India) CA Intermediate course. There are two groups on the syllabus, each with four courses. The following topics are covered in the syllabus for the CA Intermediate course:
Group I: 1. Bookkeeping
2. Laws pertaining to corporations and other legal matters
3. Accounting for Cost and Management
4. LevyingGroup II: 5. In-depth Bookkeeping
6. Assurance and Auditing

After clearing the CA Foundation course, candidates move to the next level which is CA Intermediate. The syllabus of ICAI CA Intermediate course includes the following:
- Accounting
- Business Laws
- Ethics and Communication
- Cost Accounting and Financial Management
- Taxation
- Advanced Accounting
- Auditing and Assurance
- Information Technology and Strategic Management
- Financial Management and Economics for Finance.
These subjects are difficult to crack and need a good amount of dedication and coaching. Candidates need to score a minimum of 40 per cent in each paper to clear the course level.
