Typically, the exam takes place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The candidates have to finish answering 110 questions in the allotted time. Since the IIFT exam has no sectional time limit, unlike the CAT or XAT, candidates are free to use the two hours however best suits their exam plan. The cut-offs are based on CAT 2023 since admission to the batch of 2024–2026 will be determined by that score. The sectional cut-off for the general category for the 2024–2026 batch is 55, while the composite cut-off is 30%. The sectional cutoff for Gen-EWS/OBC-NCL is 50, while the composite cutoff is 25%. The IIFT 2024 exam does not have a sectional time limit. Candidates have two hours to complete the entire paper. Unlike CAT or XAT, you have the freedom to allocate time as per your exam strategy. The paper consists of four sections: Quantitative Analysis, Reading Comprehension and Verbal Ability, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning, and General Awareness.

The IIFT exam is of two hours. It is held from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM. there is no sectional time-limit in this exam and candidates have to address about 110 questions in a 120 minutes. Because there is no sectional time limit, candidates need to have a tab on the time so that they are able to solve a good number of questions in every section. Candidates must have a time management strategy for each section so that they don't end up falling short of time in the last section. For example, they should allot maximum time for the section they find the toughest and allot least time on GK.

Getting into the MBA programme of NIT Trichy with a 300 SC CAT rank is somewhat uncertain. As the recent data sets suggest, NIT Trichy's CAT cutoff for SC category admission stands around 65th percentile. A 300 SC rank could be borderline depending on how many SC candidates apply and the quality of the overall candidate pool.
In CAT marks terms, to reach around the 300 SC rank, you'd likely need a CAT percentile of 65–70, which roughly translates to a CAT score of about 60–65 out of 198, assuming the normalization and difficulty remain similar.
However, final admission also depends on other factors like your academic profile, w
