GIBS Business School evaluates PGDM applicants holistically, assigning specific weightages to entrance exams, academics, interview/GD, extra-curricular activities, and work experience.

The process gives significant emphasis to performance in online interviews and the statement of purpose, while also acknowledging candidates' academic records and other achievements. This balanced approach ensures that selected students not only excel academically but also possess communication skills, leadership abilities, and a well-rounded profile.

To get into GIBS for PGDM, they look at a few things:

    • Your entrance exam score (like CAT, MAT) counts for 20%.

    • Your marks in 10th, 12th, and graduation count for 20%.

    • Your interview and how well you explain your goals count for 40% (this is the most important part).

    • Your extra activities like sports or cultural events and your background count for 10%.

    • Any work experience you have counts for 10%.

So, to get in, do well in your exam, be ready for the interview, and show your strengths in studies and activities. That's it!

    ALL THE BEST!

At GIBS Business School, Bangalore, admission decisions are made by looking at everything you bring — not just your exam. About 20% comes from your entrance test score (CAT/XAT/GMAT/MAT/ATMA/CMAT), 20% from your academics (Xth, XIIth and graduation marks), and the biggest chunk (a whopping 40%) is based on how you do in your Statement of Purpose, Group Discussion & Interview. On top of that, they give 10% for extra stuff like sports, extracurriculars, gender/academic diversity and another 10% for any work experience. All together, that's a full 100% holistic look at you as a candidate.

So basically, while your entrance test score is

    2. Entrance Exam Scores: While GIBS does not require specific entrance exams like CAT or MAT, your performance in relevant exams such as MAT, ATMA, or the GIBS entrance test may carry weight.
    3. Personal Interview: A personal interview is a crucial part of the admission process, and your co

GIBS uses an holistic evaluation for admission purposes. The weightage varies in the following: Common Admission Test (CAT/XAT/GMAT) constitutes 20%, academic performance of class 10 and class 12., and undergraduate/postgraduate constitutes 20%, statement of purpose and GD/Interview constituting 40%, extracurricular activity for 10%, and work experience for 10% that sums up to a total of 100%.
