What opportunities do I have with this score? I am a mechanical engineering student. I qualified gate with score-356, and rank-26951.

Hi Raghu,
Yes, you can take admission into M-tech course without GATE score card. You can take admission in state technical university affiliated colleges by appearing for an entrance exam conducted every year by respective state university/colleges etc.
With Gate score you may take admission in some renowned institute's like IIT's, NIT's, BIT's etc.
