What should I choose among M.Tech and MBA?
I will complete BE in 2016 and got 15.48 marks in GATE. Can you suggest any college in Maharashtra for M.Tech that can give admission with this score? Also, suggest some MBA colleges that consider GATE score for admission.

Hello Manthan,
For several B.Tech graduates planning to pursue higher education, it is primarily a choice between Master of business administration (MBA) and Master of technology (M.Tech) programmes. While both career options are stable and rewarding, current trends indicate that students prefer MBA over M.Tech. -
If you feel you can contribute further to the growing world of technology after the completion of an M.Tech, M.Tech may be preferred. If you are confident of your skills as a manager, wish to jump to some middle or higher management level and the aim to climb the corporate ladder then MBA is not a bad choice.

MBA if you are not getting an IIT.

This would depend on your interest areas, and career aspirations. In case you intend to pursue a career in Technical / research / academics area, then M.Tech/ MS is better. However, if you want to move into general management the MBA is better. Salary is a function of many factors. It is advisable to pursue a course of your interest area, as chances of greater success will be there in doing what you like to do than doing something that doesn't meet your aspirations.

5 years agoHi Mantha,
It totally depends on you, if you want to be a little managerial as well as a little technical then you can go for MBA, as doing MBA would provide you with a plethora of opportunities ahead. MBA would also in a general way provide you financial stability. So it totally depends on how you want your life. Hope it helps!
Thank you.
