What should I do to pursue Engineering in a reputed college of USA?

I'm a +1 non-medical student from Punjab (CBSE). Many of my friends have started preparations for SAT but most of them have dropped the idea, as they say its very tough. What should I do so that I can easily study over there? Could it be SAT, ACT or TOEFL?

    If you intend to study in the United States, you have to plan your move in advance as there are a number of formalities that you need to complete. First, as an international student you will need to take the SAT and the TOEFL exams and there is no exception to this. Since your application process starts sometimes in October-November, you should have taken these tests before that time.
