What syllabus should I study to crack JEE and to get into an IIT?

I have passed 10th and I am planning to write JEE exam to get into an IIT. Is studying 11th and 12th portions enough to crack JEE? Are the questions coming in JEE exams directly from books or can they give own application questions?

    To crack JEE and get admission into an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), you need to study the following subjects:
    Physics: You should have a clear understanding of the concepts of mechanics, Thermodynamics electricity and magnetism, Optics and modern Physics.
