In order to take admission in your desired programme, you need to meet the eligibility norms. On inquiring for one of my friend from the counsellors of LPU I came to know that those who have 60% in 10+2 with (English, Physics & Mathematics ) will have to appear in LPU NEST whereas those who have scored 90% in +2 or scored 90 percentile in JEE Mains are exempted from LPU NEST. University is taking Remotely Online proctored test from home considering the scenario of COVID-19.
LPU NEST serves two purposes I. e eligibility and scholarship.

For B.tech. ECE lateral entry programme, the eligibility is Pass with 50% aggregate marks in ITI (in Technical field) 1 year/ 2 years Certificate course or 2 years Diploma from SLIET or 10+2 Vocational (in Technical field) or 10+2 (Non-Medical) or equivalent from any recognized Board/ Council.
There is no entrance exam for this. In the situation of Covid-19, lpu has relaxed it's eligibility.
In case you wish to appear the exam for scholarship purpose, you can do that simultaneously with the admission proceedings.
LPU provides a great academic exposure to its students. It provides a chance to the students to attend guest lectures or worksh

    Hi,
Due to the current situation i.e. COVID-19, the eligibility criteria is a bit relaxed. The eligibility for B.Tech (ECE)[Lateral Entry ] is Pass with 60% in Diploma (Engg.) (any stream) (3yrs. after 10th or 2 yrs after 10+2(Non-Medical)) or B.Sc (Non-medical)/ B.Sc(Computer Science) or equivalent. So, test i.e. LPUNEST is not mandatory but you can give it for the scholarship. LPU also offers different scholarship slabs on tuition fees per semester.
