What will be more good whether to opt computer science in Lovely Professional University or mechanical in Thapar University?

I personally believe that every branch has a scope if you have a strong orientation and you don't leave any stone unturned to learn it. LPU offers good opportunities to its students in terms of placements, internships, industrial visits etc. LPU provides a positive environment to the students. LPU is better in all the aspects be it infrastructure or the curriculum.

Both of these are renowned names, both have their own strengths, While Thapar's strength is its heritage and goodwill accrued over the 50 year period, LPU's strength is its intellectual capital. Since the placements are considered as the ultimate barometer of success of organisation, I'll enumerate the placements of both. As per the website of Thapar university, it has got 282 companies visiting the campus and with 994 offers. Compare it to LPU : it attracts more than 300+ companies only for its CSE ! With 650 companies in total out of which more than 60 offer above 10LPA, 100 are from fortune 500 and more than 100 which come to LPU only other than IITs & Iims ! Moreover LPU places over 10 K students every year which in itself is a great FEAT. So LPU has a higher bandwidth with regards to placements than Thapar. DVD.

LPU will be a better option to pursue CSE. LPU is a single campus private university in India located in Jalandhar,Punjab with 30K+ students all across the world and with 4000 experienced faculty members and staff members with more than 200 programmes . LPU has a beautiful campus with a great infrastructure with all the facilities within the campus itself. LPU has earned many affiliations, recognitions and accreditation and still working for more. Even the placement opportunities in LPU are much better than other private universities as it is ranked the 5th amongst the other universities for its placement records. So, LPU will be an university I will suggest from where you can pursue your higher studies.

Anish, LPU is one of the best universities in the country with world class infrastructure, modern facilities and highly qualified faculty from reputed institutions like IIt, IIITs, NITs, etc. High tech MAC lab.s have been set up for the benefit of students. Workshops and live projects are integral part of the curriculum to inculcate the habit of practical learning. Even the placements in LPU are wonderful. CSE is one of the branches in LPU having wonderful placements. Most of our students get placed in reputed companies with few opting for higher studies. The ones placed have been offered packages as high as 20 LPA. Special inputs in the form of placement classes are given to students to hone their skills and prepare them for placements. Dear, There are certain parameters such as placements, infrastructure, faculty level, environment, growth etc. to be considered while selection of institute for pursuing education. It a big question in the mind of a student as well as parents that what will the offers and placement scenario of educational institute when the student will be about to complete the course. LPU is an international university with more than 700+ tie ups with industries and companies to support academic and placement of his students. My cousin sister done her B.Tech in CSE from here and she got placed in Cognizant with top package. Other friends of her also placed in other companies such as Capgemini, Tech. Mahindra, BOSCH, Amazon, SAP, Texas Instruments, Cadence, Sandisk, Moserbear. Their junior Tanya Arora who is recently in news, got placed in Microsoft with 42 LPA. So, we have no doubt that LPU is best and a bench marks for placement and internships of students not only in CSE but also in other courses. Hi, According to the placements and infrastructure both stand at the same position. But still the first one is better due to healthy environment. A peaceful decorum is necessary for personality development which is necessary with a good degree. So go for it.
