When should a B.Tech student start preparing for MBA entrance exam? Is doing MBA after B.Tech without any work experience not of any use?

My answer to your question: As soon as possible. Studying more wouldn't harm you. Studying MBA fresh out of B.Tech might be beneficial in terms of placements as some profiles in finance/marketing/consulting prefer fresher or people with relevant work experience. -
