You need at least a year to prepare for CAT. You need to decide accordingly that how and when can you spare that much time.

You can prepare for MBA entrance exams, while pursuing or after your graduation. If you can handle your college studies/ exams and CAT simultaneously well, then you can give CAT during your final year. If not, you should take a gap.

Hello, CAT requires a lot of practice and pre-preparation, especially quant. So, I would suggest you to start studying the NCERT books when you are in the second year of your graduation, therefore, by the time you reach the 3rd year you will be already clear with your basics and then you can join a good coaching institute to brush up your knowledge and for more practice. This will make better chances of getting a high percentile. This will also save your 1 year which you could probably waste in preparing for CAT after your graduation.

You can start preparing for CAT exam now. You can do self-study, and later you can take coaching. You can solve previous year question papers.
    All the best.

Getting into the MBA programme of NIT Trichy with a 300 SC CAT rank is somewhat uncertain. As the recent data sets suggest, NIT Trichy's CAT cutoff for SC category admission stands around 65th percentile. A 300 SC rank could be borderline depending on how many SC candidates apply and the quality of the overall candidate pool.
In CAT marks terms, to reach around the 300 SC rank, you'd likely need a CAT percentile of 65–70, which roughly translates to a CAT score of about 60–65 out of 198, assuming the normalization and difficulty remain similar.
However, final admission also depends on other factors like your academic profile, w
