When to apply for admission in LPU? If I apply in May will I get a scholarship if I score good percentile in JEE?

In April I have board exams.

    Hi Bhavya,
    Yes, you will get scholarship but why to wait till the month of May 2020. Nowadays, it is chaos all across the country due to COVID-19 but you will be happy to know that the institution for which you are searching is doing much for fighting with this current scenario.
    LPU is coming up with a special counselling for those candidates who;
    Who appeared in JEE Mains JAN 2020
    Who qualified LPU NEST JAN 2020. Special Counseling Schedule is as follows:
    Last date to apply: 20th April
    Rank Declaration: 22nd April
    Choice of stream filling: 2224 April
    Stream Allotment Letter: 25th April

    Yes, you will get scholarships based on JEE Mains too.
    Just for an example in mechanical engineering:
    JEE (Main) percentile equal to more than 90 = 50% of the fee.
    JEE (Main) percentile equal to or more than 85 but less than 90 = 40% of fee.
    JEE (Main) percentile equal to more than 80 but less than 85 = 30% of fee.
    There are similar scholarships in all the branches, however, in some the slabs may be lower. The right time to apply is now! Before May 31st. Hope this helps

    Hi,
    During the current lockdown period due to the COVID-19 pandemic, to support candidates, LPU has initiated a fully online application to the admission process. You can apply now as the last date for admission to avail maximum scholarship is 31st May 2020.
  • Dear Bhavya, thanks for showing your interest in LPU. Till now we have no notification regarding JEE Mains scholarship. You have to qualify NEST our entrance test which is compulsory to qualify. You can apply from this link- https://nest.lpu.in/engineering/index.php. We provide the scholarships on the basis of your previous qualification percentage or else on the basis of performance in NEST. Right now the NEST registration process is going on as the last date to apply is 31st March and test will be conducted in the month of April from 5th- 30th April and result will be declared by 4th May.     Lovely Professional University is conducting National Entrance and Scholarship Test LPU-NEST for B.Tech aspirants. Students studying in 12th class can apply for LPU-NEST (B.Tech). LPU-NEST will be conducted in online mode (Pen and Paper Mode test is not allowed) in two schedules which are as follows:
    Schedule II: April 5 to April 30, 2019. Online registration starts from January 21, 2019. Last date of application: March 31, 2019. Test date: April 5-30, 2019. This test is mandatory for scholarship.

    If you book your seat early, the higher scholarship you will get, if you get late admission, then scholarship amount will also get reduced this. As time passed, so book your seat quickly you can cancel the admission and amount will be refund to you.

    You can apply for the admission in the month of April also. And if you get good percentile in JEE Mains, then also, you'll get a scholarship.

    Admissions in the 2nd phase are going to start and try to apply ASAP which will give you better benefits of scholarship i.e; EDB (Early Decision Benefit). Yes, you'll get a scholarship if you either score well in JEE or 12th boards if you apply in May.
