    Bachelors in hospitality management is generic and contains various modules of marketing management as well.

    Hi Debashish,
    3 year degrees are recognised by UGC and 4 year degrees and recognised by AICTE. The basic course curriculum is the same and even the industry does not differentiate between the two. Coming to your question, which is better. Well, there isn't a completely correct response to this. The plus side of 3 year degree is that you get into the job market a year earlier and the fees at 95% colleges is lower for these courses. The plus side of the 4 year degree is that in the case you wish to go for a Masters course overseas, you are eligible for admissions in all colleges whereas some colleges do not accept a 3 year course from an

    There is nothing like generic and non generic Course.
    In IHMs the Hotel Management Course is of 3 years and there are some private Colleges that has kept the course for 4 years .
    In my opinion there is not much difference and you should option for 3 years B.Sc
