Shruti, I am not sure how good you are with maths and programming. If you are, then you must pick up Programming and take a language whether PHP/ HTML5 (web dev), .Net (for software dev) Java/ Android (for apps) or C#/ Unity (for games). However like i mentioned, you must be good with programming to move ahead in this area since you have to compete with MCAs and BTech(CS) applicants. So choose your internship/ industrial training very carefully. Do not just go for the cheapest to save money. Probably the most obvious choice for anybody who wishes to make a career in financial services is to do an MBA in finance.
The advantage that an MBA has over any other format is that it allows you a good all round exposure to various aspects of finance, whether it's accounting, cost accounting, financial modeling, statistics and so on.
Additionally if you choose your minors well, you can have exposure to fields like marketing, behavioral science, human resources etc. Thus giving you the best possible chance for growth in the financial services industry.
