One language proficiency is required. One need not acquire fluency in a certain number of tongues. Pick up new programming languages as needs arise. Don't just learn them to say you did. To do so would be a waste of your time. Choose among PHP, Java, Python, or Ruby if you need to create application

The most important languages are C and C+ and then you can proceed to Python and Javascript.

Allthough, this is age of Object Oriented Programming language (OOPs), In oder to be a good programmer, you must first learn any Procedural language such as C, Pascal etc and learn OOPs such as C+, C# or Java.
