Which are the most important topics to focus in BITSAT?
-
BITSAT is one of the toughest engineering entrance tests in the country then merely putting in efforts is not enough? You also need to work smart and understand the weightage each topic has, to be able to get the required score in BITSAT. As the cutoff is high so a student have to score good marks mean above 300 out of 450 to get selected so really proper planning is needed.
Here are few topics from which there is lot of question asked every year.
Chemistry
1.Chemical Bonding
2.Atomic Structure
3.S&P Block Element
4.GOC
5.Equilibrium
6.Aldehyde Ketone
Maths
1.Conic Section
2. Continuity & Differentiability
3.Straight Lines
4. 3D Geometry
5. Statist...more -
Candidates will be able to analyze the important topics are likely to be repeated in the question paper and needs more focus by checking the previous years' BITSAT papers. These important topics may have a higher weightage in the paper and provide the candidates an opportunity to secure marks. However, the candidates are advised to prepare the entire syllabus to have a higher chance of performing well in the entrance examination. Some of the subject-wise important topics for BITSAT are given below.
- Physics - Electrostatics, Mechanics, Relative Motion and Electromagnetic Induction.
- Mathematics - Continuity, Quadratic equations, Coordinate

Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics account for an overall 125 questions (out of the total of 150 questions) asked in the BITSAT exam. So, it is critical to give due importance to these three subjects.
Tips for Physics: If you're short on preparation time then you may skip topics like vectors, physics of nucleus and circular motion as usually they don't represent many questions in the BITSAT exam. However, you must thoroughly prepare and revise topics like Heat & Thermodynamics, Magnetism and Wave Motion.
Tips for Chemistry: Topics like Chemical bonding, Atomic structure, p-block elements, Carboxylic acid & its Derivates, Mole Concepts, G...more -
