Which are the most important topics to focus in VITEEE?
-
VITEEE stands for the Vellore Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam. The Vellore Institute of Technology, also called VIT, is an Indian institute of higher education and a deemed university.
Here are few important topics in PCM for scoring good marks in VITEEE:
Physics-
Current Electricity:- 13% questions
Magnetic effect of Current and Magnetism:- 12% questions
Semiconductor Devices And Their Applications:- 12% questions
Electromagnetic Induction And Alternating Current:- 10% questions
Laws Of Motion:- 8% questions
Optics:- 8% questions
Mathematics-
Complex Numbers:- 10% questions
Trigonometry:- 10% questions
Differential Calculus:- 1...more -
VITEEE mainly focuses on the most important topics studied in the JEE Mains part.
Although it asks something out of the main syllabus which is clearly mentioned in the below paragraph so please go through it.
Also, there is no need to study NCERT books again and again, because if one have studied thoroughly from cert during the mains then previous year papers would be more than sufficient for that.
Syllabus covered in VITEEE follows as:
Chemistry include alkanes alkenes alkynes halo alkanes, polymers, biomolecules, atomic structure, mole concept, periodic properties and Thermodyanamics.
Physics includes simple harmonic motion, waves, ray o...more -
Basically VITEEE engineering paper contains 4 sections:
a) Physics (40 Questions)
b) Maths (40 Questions)
c) Chemistry (40 Questions)
d) English (40 Questions)
Now the rough idea about important topics for each section is as:
In physics, the major focus should be on current electricity, magnetic, semiconductor, electromagnetic induction, electrostatics.
The 5 topics should cover 20+ physics questions.
For Mathematics, the most important topic is complex numbers (4-5 questions). Rest important topics are trigonometry, calculus (both integral and differential), 3D Geometry.
For Chemistry, start with Alcohols and Ethers, Solid state, Carbonyl Com...more -
There are basically 4 parts to preparation:
a) Physics - Important Chapters are as:
I) Current Electricity(13% Questions)
ii) Magnetic effect of Current and Magnetism(12% Questions)
iii) Semiconductor Devices And Their Applications(10% Questions)
iv) Electromagnetic Induction And Alternating Current(10% Questions)
v) Electrostatics(10% Questions)
vi) Laws Of Motion(8% Questions)
b) Maths:
I) Complex Numbers (10% Questions)
ii) Trigonometry (10% Questions)
iii) Differential Calculus (10% Questions)
iv) Integral Calculus (10% Questions)
v) Analytical Geometry Of Three Dimensions(10% Questions)
c) Chemistry:
I) Solid State(10% Questions)
ii) Alcohols...more

No, the students will not be guaranteed admissions if they meet the VITEEE cutoff. However, they will have higher chances of admission if the cutoff is met. Since other factors will also be considered for admission, the students can check the cutoff for their admission chances.
Yes, only the VITEEE scores will be used to prepare the cutoff. Since no other entrance exam score will be accepted for admission, the authorities will prepare the cutoff using the VITEEE scores. While preparing the cutoff, the scores are an integral factor.
To prepare the VITEEE cutoff, the authorities will take into account different admission and exam related factors. Some of the important factors that will be considered to prepare the cutoff are the previous year's cutoff trends, exam difficulty level, total number of applicants, number of available seats for admission and more.
After the students are allotted seats, they will have to confirm their VITEEE admission. The tuition fee has to be paid and the students will have to report to their institute to verify their documents. The original documents along with a set of photocopies have to submitted for verification. If the admission is not confirmed, the students will lose their allotted seats.
Yes, the VIT tuition fee is different for Group A & B courses. The fee will be as per the programme that the students choose to study in the institutes. For Group A programmes, the total annual fee is INR 1,76,000, and for Group B, it is INR 1,98,000.
