Which books should be preferred for JEE Mains?

Books play an important role in the preparation of any exam. So always prefer the best reference books to prepare. For board exams I suggest you NCERT Books, they cover the whole syllabus and designed in a proper manner. They can also helpful in the preparation of JEE Main. Here are some reference books for JEE Main which are crucial in your preparation:
Physics:
1. Concepts of Physics Volume I and II - H. C. Verma
2. Fundamentals of Physics - Halliday, Resnick & Walker
3. Problems in General Physics - I. E. Irodov
4. A Collection of Questions & Problems in Physics - L. A. Sena
5. Physics Volume 1 & 2 - Tipler
Chemistry:

6 years agoHi Mayuri,I have myself qualified JEE Mains, so I think I am a good person to answer your question.
Physics:
Follow H. C. Verma both volumes, read NCERT properly, consult physics Galaxy video lectures for any doubt. Lastly practice previous year papers.
Chemistry:
Read NCERT thoroughly, practice questions from any standard book, follow Solomon and Fryhle organic chemistry and inorganic chemistry by JD Lee. Lastly, try previous year question papers.
Mathematics:I personally preferred Mohit Tyagi lectures. Follow TMH series and lastly see previous years. -
More than 60% of questions of JEE Main is come from NCERT books and command over NCERT books can be helps in scoring above 200 +. Hence you have to concentrate on these books. The JEE Main questions can be categorized as follows.
1. Easy (Belongs to NCERT books and can be solved easily)
2. Moderate (Little bit tricky and based on NCERT, Can be solved by applying mind)
3. Difficult ( These are out of NCERT and can not solve without studying the additional books)
