UPES Law Studies Aptitude Test is the entrance exam for Law Degree Courses. The exam is not very different from CLAT. The subjects that are tested in CLAT are also tested here. These subjects are five in number: English including comprehension, General Knowledge, Maths, Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning.
The preparation for the exam should start with going through past year papers to identify what topics are relevant and what areas to focus upon. UPES Law Studies Aptitude Test has more of less same topics as Common Law Admission Test. It also comprises of five subjects which are Legal Reasoning, General Knowledge, English, Maths and Logical Reasoning.
English: Norman Lewis. The important topics in this section are Vocabulary, Grammar and foreign words.
Maths: M Tyra. The important topics in this section are of elementary maths I.e profit and loss, simple interest and compound interest, time and work, time, speed and distance, probability etc.
Logical Reasoning: RS Agarwala and MK Pandey. I don't think there is any important topics per se. Attempt as many as questions as possible.

For ULSAT which is UPES Law Studies Aptitude Test, one can refer to any of the books which are available in the market with which one deems fit and comfortable. And if one is doing coaching, the coaching provides the students with the study materials which are enough for preparation for ULSAT. As ULSAT consists of Five Subjects that are, Language Comprehension, Numerical Ability, Logical Reasoning, Legal General Knowledge and Legal Aptitude.
