You have asked the most generic question which can never be answered specifically unless I and more importantly YOU know what your interests are and you've worked on it or studied it in depth.
Answer varies with every other person you meet. So, I would enlighten you with the opportunities which you possess rather than suggesting some thing particular.

You have asked the most generic question which can never be answered specifically unless I and more importantly YOU know what your interests are and you've worked on it or studied it in depth.
Answer varies with every other person you meet. So, I would enlighten you with the opportunities which you possess rather than suggesting some thing particular.
Being from Mech you can do MS in Mechanical, certainly. You've concentrations-
1) Design/Manufacturing.
2) Thermal, Fluids.
3) Automation
4) Automotive Engineering.
These are again broad classifications, further you have to research on the websites of universities were you'd find few concentrated courses like thermofluids, dynamics, etc. Also, you would see many orthodox courses like Global Automotive and Manufacturing Engineering like in UMich, Ann Arbor.
So, you get exposed to such courses only by research. There are many such which might prove to be very exciting. And many universities have generic courses and in that case you go there and decide your major.
Now, if you wish to change your major, you've following options considering you satisfy the minimum requirement of the university-
1) Industrial Engineering and Operations Research.
2) Systems Engineering.
3) Business Analytics.
4) Engineering Management.
So, defining BEST in this case is very difficult and no one else can do it for you. Obviously you don't want to walk on someone else's path. You've to explore it. How?
Read, read and read more.
Subjects which intrigue you, you should learn more and try exploring them. If it interests you, try doing a project/writing a paper on some germane topic/internship in that field. You'll know more, and would be in the state to decide on your own.
If it is not, move. Having extra knowledge helps at some point.
Interact. With professors, seniors and peers. Network with people already in the industry or seniors who are into some course.
Sometimes, infact most of the time, many want to take up a course because it has higher prospects of getting a job. It's not true always. If it has higher prospect, it has tremendous competition too. Never forget this. Choose wisely.
