Answer both of these honestly to yourself, you'll get the answer. All of the branches have a great scope, provided you have interest, aptitude, frame of mind, temperament, passion, personality traits that align with your aspirations in any of these. That is the reason why all the branches are being taught in such a large number of colleges in the first place. You must give it a deep though yourself for making a decision. Every field has ample number of jobs and opportunities for making a successful career out of it! Do not go by random advises, peer pressure and just the fancy packages offered to students in particular branches for the decision, its your interest and passion which matters not the others. I would recommend B.Tech Mechanical from LPU, I am sharing my friend review regarding this course, His experience at LPU was amazing, Currently he is working with XL Dynamics with decent package. As a general rule for placements, a lot more will depend upon your own hard work, communication & presentation skills and overall preparation. This would be true for any university you enroll in. Mechanical Engineering student goes through an experiential learning process surrounded by high-end the latest labs and equipment including robotics and automation. International tech-fests and competitions encourage all-round development in our students in addition to giving them international exposure. University organized International Go kart Championship which is a student initiated automotive event the first international event of its kind receiving participation from all over ASIA. School of Mechanical Engineering organized an International Conference on Recent Advances in Mechanical Engineering (ICRAME), in which experts from leading brands like Maruti Suzuki, Biomimicry India were present. University give you a very good amount of training before you go into campus placements.
