YOUR choice of branch totally depends on the answers to following questions to YOURSELF: # What do you want to do in career? # What does he degree you are planning to get enable you to do in career? Answer both of these honestly to yourself, you'll get the answer. All of the branches have a great scope, provided you have interest, aptitude, frame of mind, temperament, passion, personality traits that align with your aspirations in any of these. That is the reason why all the branches are being taught in such a large number of colleges in the first place. You must give it a deep though yourself for making a decision. Every field has ample number of jobs and opportunities for making a successful career out of it! Do not go by random advises, peer pressure and just the fancy packages offered to students in particular branches for the decision, its your interest and passion which matters not the others. Second point : You must pursue your choice of course only in top universities like IITs, NITs, VIT, PEC, Thapar and LPU etc. This will help you kick start your career with a good platform as they will ensure your initial placement. All the branches of engineering are equally good and have tremendous job opportunities. It entirely depends on how well you understand and handle the stream and increase your scope of growth. Different branches of engineering are popular at different places and the popularity depends upon the day to day requirement of that place. In my opinion these days the major opportunities are there for the students of computer Science/information technology but I would say you should choose stream based on your interest as that will open a wider scope for your future. I would recommend B.Tech Mechanical from LPU, I am sharing my friend review regarding this course, His experience at LPU was amazing, Currently he is working with XL Dynamics with decent package. As a general rule for placements, a lot more will depend upon your own hard work, communication & presentation skills and overall preparation. This would be true for any university you enroll in. Mechanical Engineering student goes through an experiential learning process surrounded by high-end the latest labs and equipment including robotics and automation. International tech-fests and competitions encourage all-round development in our students in addition to giving them international exposure. University organized International Go kart Championship which is a student initiated automotive event the first international event of its kind receiving participation from all over ASIA. School of Mechanical Engineering organized an International Conference on Recent Advances in Mechanical Engineering (ICRAME), in which experts from leading brands like Maruti Suzuki, Biomimicry India were present. University give you a very good amount of training before you go into campus placements. Hi, Any division of engineering is fantastic and has plenty of opportunities. Every division will provide you with good job opportunities and there are fantastic career prospects in every engineering branch, but it is very important to pick just the branch you want and have a greater interest in. Identify your strengths and weaknesses and pick the division according to your interest. Until choosing a division of engineering, consider these points: Be very smart to choose your profession. Don't let others exploit or take ownership of your passion and interest. Don't take lessons just by listening to your neighbours or your seniors. You're the one who will regret it later. Be sure on what you want to do once you have finished your engineering. If your primary target is to get a career, go to CSE, IT or ECE and retain decent coding skills. You'll have an opportunity to apply for a variety of tech company jobs. I suggest you to opt lpu. LPU is a brand in itself.
