Which college is better for B.Tech in Biotechnology: VIT University or SRM University, Chennai?

I would say Lovely Professional University is best for pursuing B.Tech in Biotechnology. If you re looking for quality education, good placements, exposure, academics then LPU is right place, it has all. I am saying this because one of my known is pursuing same course from LPU and her experience is amazing. She told me faculty members works hard tirelessly in enabling students with the acumen to apply the findings of Bio sciences in the fields of medicine, forensics, nutrition and dietetics for the benefit of the community. LPU School of Bioengineering and Biosciences is equipped with state-of-the-art Bioprocess Engineering and Bioscience labs and believes in imparting knowledge to students through a practical approach to achieve mastery in plant and animal physiology. Few points told by my known who did her studies from LPU that will help you to make your decision: The course offers specializations in Dairy Technology, Fermentation Technology and Bioinformatics. The curriculum offers prime focus on fundamental and applied aspects of biotechnology. Students can get a foreign degree through international collaborations (2 year in India and 2 years abroad or 2 year in India and 1 year abroad) In addition to core curricula, course offers subjects like communication and soft skills to enhance personality and employability. Dear friend, As per my personal opinion and my experience among VIT University and SRM University for B.Tech in biotechnology, you must go for SRM University-Chennai as it is having much better records in case of placement and infrastructure and other aspects so as per me you must go for SRM University-Chennai for B.Tech in biotech. I would prefer VIT. The admission are through VITEEE entrance exam. The exam is considered difficult than ARM JEEE.

Bachelor of Technology in Biotechnology is one of the most advanced B.Tech specialization. Indian students, nowadays, are moving towards the best engineering colleges. A lot of opportunities are waiting in each and every campus. Biotechnology is a branch which each and every student would like to pursue. Biotechnology is a branch which deals with biology and technology. Genomic study is a part of Biotechnology. Vellore Institute of Technology is one of the famous institutes for this engineering specialization. VIT is known for all kinds of engineering degrees. The excellent faculty members and better infrastructure make this campus famous among other campuses in our country. There are a lot of other institutes in our country which offer quality education in this branch of study. One such institute is SRM University-Chennai. It is a privately owned autonomous institute which offers a quality education for all the courses in this present scenario. SRM also has qualified faculty members and world class infrastructure. Both the colleges are very famous for engineering studies.

According to me, VIT is better as per my opinion. As it have a good placement cell and all the other necessary requirements of students and have good facilities. So, as per me, go for VIT.

If you go for VIT, you won't have much freedom. You can't get out of the campus whenever you like. But the plus points are that the faculty over there is good and if you maintain a GPA of above 9 then you have to maintain an attendance of just 25%. Now talking about SRM, the only thing the college is strict about is the attendance, irrespective of how you study or get even 10 GPA you'll have to maintain an attendance of 75%. Now if you go for SRM you'll have a much greater exposure than VIT, because it is a University. You have a gazillion number of clubs to join in SRM and you have a lot of freedom in here. Nevertheless either college you chose, it doesn't really matter, what matters in the end is how you make the most of it. How you use the opportunities you have been presented to the best of your potential. What matters is what you're doing to go that extra mile. Choosing a better college is not the question over here, the question is how well would you grab the opportunities you've have been presented, because if you have a goal and the proper determination, you can achieve it by the worst of the worst college, it might take time but definitely you'll succeed in the journey to your goal. Just ask yourself this question now, what do you want to do in life, and what is your dream? Thumbs up! I would prefer SRM for biotech. SRM has a campus where you find everything in and around there. Only problem is you will have to suffer the drastic heat during summer. Except that this college has something every student. All the best.

Despite the fact that you get to rock in your very own department building, with the biotechnology department having the highest number of faculty members, academic or nonacademic, I must tell you the placements for biotechnology at SRM aren’t satisfactory. Very few core companies visit the campus, selecting even fewer students, making the majority to end up in marketing or it companies. The placements record of VIT seems to be better but not enough to guarantee you a core job in the field. Cheers! If these are the last options on your list, select the better of the developing universities.
