Which college is better for B.Tech in CSE: IIT Guwahati or IIIT, Vadodara?
Please share the details on the basis of course outline, faculty, placement and college infrastructure for IIT Guwahati and Indian Institute of Information Technology, Vadodara.
When the comparison is between IIITs and IITs, the war is always in favour of IITs whether it be any branch or stream. The reason being the quality of students, management of IITs, the large-scale organization of events as well as technical and cultural fests from which students learn a lot. Although, a IIIT may have a better infrastructure due to its late establishment but is overcome by the vibrant lifestyle of IITs. Now coming to the placement statistics, the average there at IIT Guwahati is around 18 lakh per annum whereas 12 lakh from IIIT Vadodara. Whereas IIIT Vadodara is an IIIT which is a plus point for coders but that doesn't make it go all the way to the top. It is a relatively newer college and it takes time to set up everything and go smooth. They have experienced teachers but some other aspects also affect the decision. Alumni base is also an important factor, in which IIT Guwahati rules. If you talk about placements, IIT Guwahati has all the world's major companies like Google, Microsoft, HP, Dell offering the students heavy packages. So, if you have a choice, go for IIT Guwahati.
