Which college is perfect for BJMC: IIMT or Heritage Institute of Mass Communication?

Hello Akash It is considered to be one of the best college nowadays. It has been granted many approvals and journalism department is affiliated to CCS University. It focuses to provide each and every facility to the students from theoretical to practical. The focus is laid upon industrial visits. HIMCOM is purely meant for the education of mass communication and no other courses are available there. But, if you are looking for BJMC tan let me tell you that HIMCOM doesn't offer BJMC rather they offer BMC + DMLP which is an integrated course. Thank you.

Hi Akash,Both colleges are well. Let me give you a brief idea of what IIMT and HIMCOM is? IIMT has recorded approximately 25 years of excellence. It is considered to be one of the best college nowadays. It has been granted many approvals and journalism department is affiliated to CCS University. It focuses to provide each and every facility to the students from theoretical to practical. The focus is laid upon industrial visits. HIMCOM is purely meant for the education of mass communication and no other courses are available there. But, if you are looking for BJMC tan let me tell you that HIMCOM doesn't offer BJMC rather they offer BMC + DMLP which is an integrated course. So, journalism is not there. In terms of placement both college are good. They are tied - up with many recognized recruiters. And they too offers the summer internship programme to the students. On regular basis co-curricular activities are carried out. The scenario of IIMT is getting day-by-day more impactful. HIMCOM is widely known for its placements. If you are taking journalism along with mass comm. than IIMT is good choice. But if it's OK to eliminate journalism than go for HIMCOM.

Hi Akash, The harsh realities of colleges like IIMT, Greater Noida are as follows: Bad Location Bad infrastructure and facilities for engineers. Worst teachers Dress Code - What the hell is that about? Poor or nil placements - Mostly call centres. Worst college life or no college life. Terror of locals (Gujjars) Overall, life becomes hell and there is no getting out of it. Save yourself before its too late. IIMT or any college in Greater Noida is not worth taking admission except for GL BAJAJ, NIET, JSS NOIDA and GALGOTIAS COLLEGE. You will not be provided with any placement opportunities. It is not so that no companies come for campus placement but most of them are for sales or call centre. It will be a bit difficult to get a technical profile in any company easily. Worst campus and college life for sure and yes poor academics. You are all on yourself if you want to improve. Very few good teachers are available, say 2 out of 10. No one will help you in this. So, it is better that you either study, prepare for your entrance exam or study in colleges like this with a very little scope. What I have written is what I have experienced in past 4 years. Amazing thing is that almost all the students are having the same opinion when asked about colleges in Greater Noida. It's better you choose Heritage too after consulting some seniors from the institute. All the best.
