Hi, CAT (Common Admission Test) is mainly a computer-based exam started by the IIM institute. Therefore, when you attend IIM and if you have the required scores, IIMs would possibly invite you to apply in their institute. However, there are many other educational institutes that accept CAT scores.

Yes, you need to apply separately for B-schools other than IIMs like SPJIMR, MDI, FMS, JBIMS and other top B-school which are accepting CAT score card too. You will need to apply to all the B- Schools in which you are interested except IIMs. All IIMs will consider your application of CAT for admission but other B-Schools only use the CAT score for admission and you have to apply to them separately. Here is the list of Top B-Schools and exam scores th
