In terms of Government and Semi Government jobs, B.Sc. Agriculture is better. B.Sc. Graduates can work in Veterinary department of State government as Veterinary doctors. Other than this, chances of getting government jobs is limited. But one can start his/her private practice.

Both the fields are good as careers but there lies some difference in the scope. As Vet Science expert you get into the Medical domain for Vets. And Become a Doctor - Veterinary. In B.Sc. Agriculture you do get into Research as well as Higher Studies and Agricultural Careers in which the Agricultural Departments and Companies can give you jobs. For government Job - the Vet Science. For Higher Ed/Research and Open Scope - Try B.Sc. Agriculture.

Veterinary Science has a better scope, as private colleges are not much more than B.Sc Agriculture college, so competition is less in the veterinary science. It is easier to get a job.
