B.Com is Bachelors in commerce and BBA is Bachelors in business administration. Both the courses are completely different and focus on different fields. The scope of both the fields is pretty good.

BBA is having a better scope as compared to B.Com.
Some of the advantages of BBA are as follows:
    1. High salary package
    2. Can work in any kind of organisations like technical and non-technical, managerial or non-managerial.
    3. A lot of companies require BBA graduates.Almost, all companies offer opportunities for BBA students.
    4. They deal with managerial education. Chances of promotion and switching from one college to another is very easy.
Some of the major drawbacks of B.Com are:
    1. Job openings are very less.
    2. Cannot take up any managerial job in the marketing or HR field.
    3. Salary package is also very less for B.com graduates as compare

Both BBA and B. Com have their own merits and demerits. It depends entirely on the student's areas of interest and skills before choosing either of the courses. If making a career in management field is your priority then you should go for BBA as it the foundation for management and has been specifically designed for MBA aspirants.

I would answer this question differently by asking you whether income is the only yardstick for taking a course. In the long run, your aptitude and liking determine what kind of career you want to take. If you are good in accounts, book-keeping and interested in commerce you should do a B.Com. In case you aspire to be in the management field, e-commerce, customer relationship management and also leadership you should pursue a BBA. Deciding a career based on income has its pitfalls. You might gain money but that won't buy you happiness.

Actually both the courses have better scope at their level. B.Com deals in businesses and commercial part like accounting, cash flow, business-government relation, etc. and BBA deals in businesses administration management part like managing personnel, giving them right work at right time, etc.
So both have their own directions and streams to deal so they both have equal scope in terms of business and career but it might not be in aspects of money that it seems to be that administration works more than the commercial people, which may be the thinking so it can be the factor to consider. Whereas it is not same for everywhere and everyone
