Which course has better prospects - B.Tech or B.Com?

Some of the fields are : -Chartered accountancy -Company secretaryship -Cost and works accountancy (CWA) -Law -Civil services -Mass communication -Hotel management -> B.Com graduates can get job in the private sector : -BPO -Financial Services -Marketing -Broking -Banking -Insurance -ITES -FMCG -> One may work as : -Company Law Assistant -Relationship manager -Assistant Manager/Consultant -Articled Trainee -Sales Officer Accounts With experience, one may get promoted as : -Senior Accounts Executive -Cluster Head -Cluster Manager -Senior Executive of Corporate Sales -ERP Functional Executive -> There are many government jobs for B.Com graduates. They can submit application forms for the jobs under UPSC and SSC. In general engg has slightly higher value but it entirely depends on your own interest.Then only you can rock in the field.The reputation mostly depends on where you are studying(institutes like iims iits etc.,) and how you are studying.So plz choose the field according to your genuine interest.All the best

Hi, There is good scope in every field. Please remember that you should pursue a stream based on two things : -your career goal -the type of job you want to do * Job Prospects after B.Tech : After completion of the degree, there is vast scope in areas such as polymer technology, textile technology, communication, computers, automobile, thermal engineering etc. One can seek employment opportunities in almost all related production industries, hospitals and research institutes. One could also find jobs in the government sector as well, in various arms of state and central government. One can also opt for teaching jobs in universities and colleges. * Salary : Salary depends on various parameters such as size of the organization, profile, qualification, experience etc. To give you a brief idea, - A skilled engineer employed in private sector can expect income around Rs. 15, 000 to Rs. 20000 every month in the beginning stage. - After gaining experience one can earn more than 40,000 per month. - In government sector there are specific pay scales for of the various state and central governments although with small variations from state to state. - M.Tech degree holders from good colleges can earn handsome salary.
