     You should pursue a short term online course on Data Analytics. By Short term, I still mean about 6-8 months

    And Depending on your level of knowledge on the subject I would suggest learning from scratch is most ideal. However previous knowledge of Python /R or advanced Excel or SQL makes it far easier to get started.  I will always suggest  to choose a course preferably with mentorship and guidance since that will make it easier to learn and absorb the subject matter.
