If you're choosing between B.Tech Biotechnology and B.Sc. Forensic Science after your 12th, it depends on your interest in either research and healthcare or crime investigation. B.Tech Biotechnology is better if you enjoy biology, lab research, and want to explore careers in pharma, genetics, food tech, or industrial R&D. On the other hand, B.Sc. Forensic Science is ideal if you're fascinated by crime-solving, law enforcement, and forensic analysis. Both have good scope, but Biotechnology offers more versatility and global research opportunities, especially if you're looking at higher studies or careers abroad.

I request you to mention in what parameters the comparison is to be made. Moreover, overall both the subjects have their own prospects, value and norms. Biotechnology though moreover has much placement opportunities in private companies whereas forensic science leads to much higher level of studies but will lead you to very sophisticated job profiles. At the end, it all depends upon your interests to choose from.

Both courses are great, but the better choice depends on your interest:

    • B.Tech Biotechnology: Best if you like biology + technology and want to work in medicine, genetics, food tech, or pharma. High demand in research, biotech firms, and healthcare.

    • Forensic Science: Best if you love investigations, crime labs, and forensic analysis. Career options in law enforcement, crime labs, and forensic research.

If you enjoy lab work, research, and innovation, go for Biotech. If you are into crime-solving, evidence analysis, and investigation, go for Forensic Science.

Hi.

If you apply with JEE Main scores, CU primarily considers your JEE Main percentile / AIR for admission.

12th marks are generally secondary in this case — mostly used for eligibility criteria (like minimum 50–60% in PCM or aggregate, depending on branch).

High JEE scores can also qualify you for JEE-based scholarships at CU.

Hi.

Yes — for admission to B.Tech/B.E. at Chandigarh University (CU), there is a requirement on your 12th‑class marks (along with other eligibility conditions), even if you're using your JEE Main score.

What's required from 12th (or equivalent) at CU

You must have passed 10+2 (or equivalent) from a recognised board with Physics and Mathematics.

For many B.Tech courses at CU, including those that accept JEE Main or CU's entrance (CUCET), the minimum aggregate requirement in 12th is around 50% (for general or merit‑based eligibility) as a baseline.

Some sources show that for “full eligibility” (especially for certa

Hi.

If your 12th result has not been announced yet then

Upload expected / provisional marks for now.

Final admission depends on the official 12th mark sheet after results are announced.

Colleges are used to this situation, especially for students applying in early cycles.

Hi.

AIIMS is primarily a medical college/university (undergraduate, postgraduate, super-speciality, etc.) + a hospital.

Its courses begin after Class 12 — i.e. you must have completed 12th standard (10+2) to be eligible for entry into courses like MBBS, B.Sc., etc.

The official course list of AIIMS includes medical and allied health degrees — not school-level classes (11th / 12th) as per its academic catalogue.

Thus, AIIMS itself does not run 11th and 12th standard as a school.
