Which course is better: BBA or B.Com?

Choosing what to do after completing schooling can be a daunting decision. This decision can significantly affect your entire future. Both BBA and B.Com are two of the most popular undergraduate degree programmes amongst students, especially those from commerce background. As per my knowledge, BBA and B.Com. Are both three-year undergraduate courses. The eligibility required is 10+2 in both cases. Due to their basic similarities, students find it difficult to choose from them. BBA or Bachelor of Business Administration focuses on the studies related to management. The course equips the students with managerial skills, marketing knowledge and related expertise required to get a job in some of the leading organizations. If I talk about B.Com. Or Bachelors of Commerce, it opens the opportunity for the students to get a hold on accountancy, banking, retailing, taxation, media communication etc. So, whether a candidate should select B.Com or BBA all depends upon the candidates inclination towards a subject and their career goals and aims in life. A few good universities for BBA are: University of Mumbai, Mumbai Geeta University, Panipat Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University Hyderabad Karnataka State Open University Mysore Chandigarh University SRM Sharda University.

Dear students, Both the degrees expose you to different curriculum and open up multiple career avenues to you. Both of the degrees have their own different and independent course and curriculum. The selection of the particular course that whether you want to go for BBA or B.Com should be as per you interest, liking for the area in which you want to study further. B.Com or Bachelor Of Commerce is an undergraduate degree in the field of commerce. This course provide more deeper and wider knowledge in the field of the commerce. The course is basically designed for students who are good with numbers. More focused in the field of taxation, accountancy and finance. BBA or Bachelor of Business Administration is a Bachelors degree in Business Administration. This course is for students who have good managerial skills. The course mainly includes basic business studies and advanced with specific focuses as well. And include business dynamics and business analytics.

Both the courses are good but B.Com is related to finance and taxation while BBA is related to management. The points you should keep in mind while choosing a course are- Interest - If you think you are interested in a professional course you must go for MBA and if you are interested in accounting or wider scope that goes for B.Com - Course curriculum- It's different, so must check once before choosing a course. The exam pattern for BBA is more hectic than B.Com. - Future scope - It definitely needs to be considered for career prospects. B.Com has a wider scope than BBA.

B.Com has comparatively more career scope than BBA. Both are good courses in terms of job prospects and more but they have different syllabuses like, Bachelors of commerce is more about the study of accounting and finance and taxation while on the other hand Bachelor's degree in business administration gives you knowledge about management and it's uses business activities. So it depends on what you like to study so choose accordingly. Good luck.

If making a career in management is your priority, then you should go for BBA as it is the foundation of management and has been specifically designed for MBA aspirants. B.Com on the other hand, is much more diversified and has a wider scope for specialization for post-graduate study. Thus, it is advisable to first chalk out your skills, aptitude and area of interest before taking up any of the courses. Instead of looking at the money-making aspect while choosing a course, it is more feasible to choose a course that will give you long-term benefits rather than short-term.

B.Com is good, if you want to go into core finance, or if you want to go for CA. Otherwise, BBA is better as per quicker job opportunities.

Hello Vivek, B.Com and BBA are both amazing courses by themselves. But it depends on your personal interest. If you are a person who wants to get into auditing or hardcore business management, accounting and working then you should go for B.Com. If you want to be a business admin or want to be a marketing professional, then go for B.A. But my personal view is that you should go for B.Com. Reason is that, both courses are inter related and moreover if you choose BBA then you can master only in it I. e, MBA. But if you choose B.Com. Then you can get into different kinds f streams right from M.Com B.A. B.A. And a lot more, but at the end of the day, its your choice, so you get to decide. Good luck.
