The unfortunate answer is no branch is devoid of maths. Engineering is incomplete without maths. In every branch, most of the subjects will be numerical based and will involve a lot of maths. The thing you should do is try to find out that which branch focuses on what type of maths and take the one which you find easier. For example, I am in mechanical branch and it highly relies on differentiation and differential equations. For electronics and communications, you may have a lot of Fourier analysis and integrals involved. In the same way, some branches will have more focus on particular type of maths.

Mathematics is the common and the basic pre-requisite for all the branches and level and application may vary branch to branch but it almost remains same.
In the preparation for engineering exam, one of the skills tested is mathematical skills, which are almost one-third of the total scoring marks. I think you get the reason behind the inclusion of mathematics.
When you enter the first year of engineering, the course and curriculum are same for all branches. So, all students irrespective of their branches have to go through basic courses like C programming and mathematics.
So after getting the students, know the basics of mathematics as

The level of mathematics shall remain same across all branches.
The first year of Engineering comprises of common subjects shared by all branches viz. Physics, Chemistry, Maths, etc.
To avoid mathematics is like making your career handicapped, as an engineer mathematics will be most important asset and Quantitative abilities would be pioneer in making your career ahead.
Mathematics is used in physics and so in engineering. It makes the process from concept to product more efficient. In many cases engineers optimize by varying the parameters in a physics based model. Both optimization and physics require mathematics. Mathematics is one too

Please be informed that first year is generally common across all branches of engineering and includes physics, chemistry and mathematics.
From second year onwards, the specialisation starts and generally speaking there are subjects in all branches of engineering that will involve mathematics.
