Imagine working in an environment where style and creativity are the focus. If this sounds like your ideal career, you may want to consider earning a degree in fashion design. Fashion design is a highly competitive and exciting industry where only the most talented professionals advance. There has been numerous amount of universities that offer fashion designing courses, but it is always important to understand, which University offers all-round development for the students to uplift their career in the future. I could help one explore the above pre-requisites by identifying a University, one of the largest in North India. To excel in this kind, of course, one must have a good eye for color and shape. You'll need skills such as pattern-cutting and sewing. You'll also need to able to spot trends. You will usually need a relevant higher education qualification, such as a foundation degree, HND, or degree to be a fashion

    Hi Ananya!
You can pursue fashion designing course in any institute, even the top ones as your class 12 stream does not play any role in the admission. Your performance in the entrance exam will determine your admission. Most top design schools conduct entrance exam which constitutes of 2 parts: General Ability test and Creative Ability test. For the latter part, you need to be very creative and should possess some drawing skills in order to put your ideas into artistic presentation. So, having arts subject is not important, but to have artistic skills is very essential.

Absolutely! Having a humanities background is no barrier to pursuing Fine Arts at Chandigarh University.

The programme welcomes students from all streams, including humanities, as long as they meet the minimum requirement of 50% marks in their 12th exams. Many humanities students find the programme a natural extension of their academic interests, as the curriculum often connects with cultural, historical, and social themes. For example, a student who studied history might bring unique perspectives into courses like painting or applied arts.

The university values creativity and passion over specific subjects studied in school.
