    Hi,
    Chartered accountant and company secretary both are different course and also own value in current scenario.
    Moreover CA has vast fields to get in to as compared to CS .CA course is considered to be tough than CS course. CA is paid more, where as CS comparatively less. CA can be completed in 5 years whereas CS in 3.5 years. Unless and until you have a good knowledge on the subject you won't be able to earn anywhere and it depends on a lot of factors:
    1. If you want more money, CA.
    2. If you want to study easily, CS. (Easier of the two)
    3. More power in an organisation, CS.
    4. More respect, CA.
    5. Financial auditing, CA.

    CA has more scope because even a small and a medium sized company may require a CA. But a company secretary maybe is required by a comparatively larger company.

    Although CA is a preferred profession, I would also endorse You to Opt for CS ICW etc. Any Course related to Finance will always fetch you s good professional growth and Career.

    Both are good options but I think, CA is much better than CS in the future if you want a job or practicing CA is the best option.

    Go for CS as after the implementation of the Companies Act, 2013, CS are in high demand. Company secretary is very lucrative and with the implementation of companies act, 2013 the scope has widened for a company secretary as a professional. If you want to study easily, CS.     Chartered Accountancy and Company Secretary are two different courses. But there are also a lot of similarities between these courses.
    Both the courses are Distance Learning type course that is why you can do any other degree course like Regular B.Com or BBA course along with these courses.
    Company Secretary course is a course in which students learn all about management, financial, accounting and legal complication involve in the company's affairs.

    Curriculum wise Chartered Accountancy and Company Secretary are two different courses. But there is also lots of similarities between these courses.

    CA versus CS career path differences are as follows:-
