Which institute is better for B.Tech biotech in terms of placement: SRM, LPU or Manipal Institute of Technology?

Being a proud Alumni of LPU, I can't tell a lot about Manipal University and SRM. LPU provides ample opportunities to each and every eligible student to secure good placement with the help of a dedicated Division of Career Services. The university has been ranked high by various outer agencies with regard to the placements of our students. More than 550 companies visit every year for such activities and campus-recruitment of students from LPU. The placement roadmap in LPU is very simple I. e. 1. Personal development 2. Discipline Knowledge, 3. Internships 4. Pre-placement Activities 5. placements. LPU focuses on every step. Let me explain: 1. Personal development is all about confidence, communication skills, presentation skills, body gestures, dressing sense and attitude. And LPU works for the personality development of the students through teaching strategies. 2. Discipline Knowledge is provided by the faculty in a very effective manner I. e. simulation based, case based teaching etc. LPU faculty believes that basic concepts must be clear, don't cram the things. We were given opportunity to participate in discipline oriented activities like Hackathons, Business Plan Competitions, Moot Court, Go- Kart, Youth Festivals, Tournaments etc. 3. Internships : Internships play very important role for gaining exposure and experience in the field. 4. Pre-placement activities play very important role for reaching at our final destination I. e. PLACEMENT. PEP classes are conducted to work on our Aptitude, Soft Skills & Generic skills, Mock Drives, Mock Interviews, Group Discussions are held for our grilling. LPU is best and go for it. Well I am not sure about other institutes but I can give you a feedback for LPU. Lovely Professional University is one of the leading Universities in India and specially in North. The work culture, work ethics, the environment for students, teaching pedagogy, industry ready curriculum and many more, all of these are highlights of LPU. The kind of exposure the students get here is simply remarkable. Top notch brands visit LPU for the placements. Abundant opportunities for the students besides academics to improve their overall personality and skill set. LPU offers very good placements undoubtedly, ranging from 3.5 lacs to 1 crore depending on the programme and the performance of students. More than 300 companies visit LPU for placements and students are placed both nationally and internationally, even in top notch companies like Google, Amazon, Capegemini, Microsoft to name a few. Lovely Professional University is ranked the best private university by ASSOCHAM in 2017 and ranked among top 40 B-schools by NIRF. Faculty in our department is well-experienced and have expert knowledge who work on our skill enhancement. There are lots of career opportunities after MBA in different areas. The university also gives us the opportunity to get real-life exposure through various training programs and an internship, which is mandatory for all. Professors go for value-based education which is something we as professionals would require in our career. Guest lectures by experts and some really successful people are arranged by our department to widen our scope of learning. The placements are exemplary. Many of my known alumni are placed in decent companies in different cities, while some are placed abroad, too. Industrial exposure is offered through in-house training programs. The university organizes many external workshops for us. The package provided by on-campus jobs is also satisfactory. University's environment is pretty decent with high-tech security. They also organize regular interactive one-on-one sessions with experts where we can discuss our views and share our doubts and problems.

Being an alumnae from Biotechnology division itself I can very well vouch of the curriculum, pedagogy and exponential opportunity one gets in B.Tech Biotechnology from LPU no where you can get. You get the opportunity of internship & placement in companies like Biocon Pvt Ltd. , Panacea Biotech, Shanta Biotech, Syngene, Piramal Healthcare, Wockhardt Limited, Reddys Laboratories, Bharat Biotech, Himalaya Spring, Nectar Life sciences Pvt Ltd. , Alchemist Pvt Ltd, Transsasia Pvt Ltd, Life-cell International 3. Contemporary Curriculum- Instill advanced knowledge in the major areas of Biotechnology such as Animal Tissue Culture, Plant Tissue Culture, Microbiology, Genetics an Bioinformatics. 4. Innovative Pedagogy- Usage of demo kits in addition to animations, simulations, audio-visual aids, demonstrations provide interactive teaching methodology 5. Live projects spread across five semesters help develop research aptitude in students. Specializations 6.
