BITS Pilani always. First preference to BITS Pilani and it's other campuses at Goa and Hyderabad. Second preference to VIT,Vellore. Both are good. But BITS is better than VIT. Good Luck!

BITS-Pilani is the best option. There should not be any confusion, BITS is better in every prospect, let it be placement, alumni or the campus life offered. The intellect level of students which you find here is rare in any other campus across India.

In all aspects BITS Pilani is much much better than VIT Vellore. BITS is among the top engineering institutes of India and it competes with IITs. It is quite expensive as it is a private college. But, it is worth it. It is very difficult to get a seat in BITS Pilani. It has 3 more branches, Goa, Hyderabad and Dubai.

BITS, without a doubt. People prepare for years to clear BITSAT and get BITS tag.
BITSAT requires more academic grounding than VITEEE. BITSAT has a negative marking system of +3 and -1 while VITEEE has no negative marking. The level of questions in BITSAT are tougher as compared to VITEEE.
When the ranks come out for VITEEE, they don't tell you about how many marks you got, so you have to trust their word about your rank (bad transparency, as I said).
BITSAT tells you your marks straight after you finish your test, and the cut-offs come out for various branches later on. No ranking system is needed as such.

Both these colleges are very prestigious and reputed. You can choose any of them but if you are talking about priority, then 1st priority goes to BITS Pilani.
