Which is a better college to pursue B.Tech, Thapar University or LPU?

Dear Aashish, Both LPU and Thapar are good universities and doing well on their own. Being alumni of LPU, I am sharing the details of the B.Tech programme with you. LPU offers B.Tech in various programmes such as CSE, EE, ECE, ME, CE, Automobile, Chemical, Aerospace, Biotechnology, etc. I recommended my cousin to do B.Tech from LPU itself. Good Placement: Every year more than 500+ companies including national and multinational companies visit LPU for placement. A few of them are Microsoft, Amazon, Adobe, etc. In which they are placed. The maximum package available for the Engineering programme is 42 LPA till now. Scholarships: LPU provides very good scholarships to bright students with good academic records, sports, or extracurricular activities achievement. LPU also helps students in the Education loan facility. Faculty: All faculty members are well qualified from IITs, NITs, Iims, and top-ranked universities all over the world. Infrastructure: All the facilities are available on the campus itself, a student does not need to go outside for anything. On the campus, Central Library, Hospital facility is available 24*7 for staff and students, Shopping mall, Indoor Sports Stadium with 3 Olympic size Swimming Pools, Public/Private Sector Banks, ATM, etc. Ranking: 1. In my opinion, LPU is lower to the Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology. The instructors and staff at the institute are a first-rate group with a wealth of expertise in their respective fields. For the past six years, they have consistently placed students above 90%. The highest placing package for 2020 was 43 Lacs. Additionally, TI provides 14 crores worth of scholarships.

Hello, How do you compare universities? Here are some criteria: Curriculum: The curriculum is continuously upgraded and developed with consultations and feedback from the industry. Since IT/CSE is a highly dynamic field, you can't afford a programme that is stuck in obsolete technologies and syllabi. Technology: The businesses and the business functions are now high tech-driven; the tech programme must have the exposure and training. The world-leading technologies like SAP, GitHub, Advance excel, etc. Are a must for any professional to succeed in a career. Industry interface: Ultimately, it's the industry that will immerse the students in the placements; the regular industrial talks, interactions, lectures, visits, and internships are a must-have in any tech programme. Professional etiquette: It is the most important part these days; personality, ethics, virtuousness, speech, body language, interpersonal skills, etc. , are given high importance. The programme must include the training or modules on all these. Diversity: As the world shrink into an aligned economy, the professionals will be required to work in cross-cultural teams having entirely different work culture and ethos, the national and international diversity of students in a college helps enable the students to develop the right sensibilities for such work atmosphere. Entrepreneurship: Even though most of the students go for jobs, exposure to entrepreneurship is required. This helps the professionals know how the other departments and the profit center heads work, expectations, etc. The college must have innovation labs, design thinking, and a business incubator. Community service: A few community projects in between the course are very important to develop the humane side of the person and learn the organizing skills. Both options are doing good but as per my experience LPU is an outstanding place to pursue your studies. I have experienced in LPU as a student and I learned plenty of things during my graduation. LPU provides the beautiful infrastructure and all required resources to students and staff. I will highly recommended that if you really want to make your career with good level of education then you should go for LPU. When I was seeking college for admission for my graduation, I was quite confused. But after a long comparison with all relevant facts and figures I joined LPU and now I am an alumni of LPU and Decision for LPU was best decision of my life. LPU gave me extra edge in everything. LPU is Great in teaching, placements, infrastructure or other facilities. LPU has around 2300 faculty members in the university. It has experienced, specialised and well qualified faculty members. LPU has earned many affiliations, recognition and accreditation and mark itself among the few of the top private universities. So, you should go for LPU and you will not regret this decision ever.

Aashish, LPU is one of the best universities in the country with world class infrastructure, modern facilities and highly qualified faculty from IITs, IIITs, NITs, etc. The university is having tie ups with many foreign universities and reputed companies thus facilitating higher education abroad and good placements respectively for their students. Big companies like Google, Tech Mahendra, Cognizant, Amazon, Adobe, etc come for recruitment purpose. Most of the B.Tech students are placed in good companies with packages as high as 20 LPA. University prepares its students for placements through special inputs in the form of placement classes. Students have been offered package as high as 20 lacs pa. I think you should go for Thapar University for B.Tech because:- Thapar University is ranked amongst the top 10 universities in terms of placements all over India, as per the survey conducted by India Today & GHRDC. Both are good academic institute but when it comes to Engineering programmes, LPU is the best option. I have never visited any place but on the basis of feedback of Alumni I want to highlight few points: 1. Hi Aashish If you're comparing between Thapar University and LPU, Thapar University is one for you. Amazing faculty, infrastructure, campus life, comfortable accommodation, food, and placement facilities make TIET worth it. And for Computer Science, Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology is one of the bests in India. It has been ranked 29th under NIRF (National Institutional Ranking Framework) by the Government of India rankings. Last year, almost 80 - 85% of students got placed with good packages in big companies like KPMG, IBM, Microsoft, Adobe, etc. Since the faculty there have a strong corporate network, Internships provided to the students are quite good.
