There is a huge growth in CSE today, and everything is covered by CS so you can opt for CS in SRM-Chennai. But, everything depends on your interest so if you have an interest in programming then you can opt for this field.

VIT is the best option, it has a very good infrastructure, good teaching staff and a good number of placements. It is a supportive college.

If you are seeking admission in an engineering college then I would like to suggest VIT as the first preference. It is one of the most reputed private colleges after BITS-Pilani. It is the best option in every context whether it is the environment, placement, fest, exposure or anything else. SRM is also a good college but if we compare it with VIT then VIT is better. Now, it's up to you, but first of all, you have to clear its entrance exam.
    Good luck.

VIT is ranked 13th in top engineering institutes of India.
    Go for VIT.
    Good luck.
