Booming IT sector in India has plenty of jobs for fresh Computer Science graduates. Though both the universities are good in terms of academic structure but being an alumni of LPU let me explain the things in detail. CSE department takes essential steps by making students equipped with all the essential knowledge needed to empower them with good placements. The salient features are :-
BYOD: Student brings their own laptops in classroom so that they are able to have a hands on practice session and can have expertise in programming and application developing. Industry Tie-ups: Our school have tie-ups with industries like Google, SAP, Oracle, Vmware, DELL EMC, and have mapped our courses like storage technologies, Big data, Java programming in line with these industries
Rule Book Based Best IT Practices: Rule Books designed for incorporating best IT practices followed by Computer Professionals across the globe. Interactive Display Boards: Technology NEWS, Current industry needs/happenings, Technical Ethics, Newspaper Cuttingsand Discipline Hierarchy
Best Projects Show-case Carnival: Discipline may organize a small carnival kind of thing where students can showcase their work
Achieving Curriculum Accreditation: This accreditation means that TCS Campus Team will visit LPU as one of its preferred partners from Academia to recruit our talented students. Additionally, this accreditation will also be responsible for campus connect faculty development, joint project execution programs & many other mutually beneficial initiatives. LPU student will enjoy pre-orientation for joining with HCL. (In-communication) HP ESFor HP industry ready LPU students. (In-communication) WIPRO 10X Faculty Initiative Programme for developing synergies with Wipro group of companies. The student association Cypher is actively involved in propagating competitive programming wherein they conduct monthly algorithmic coding challenges and a mega code event titled Code Apocalypse which generally spans 3 days. The department also has a Microsoft Technical Club which is actively engaged in spreading tech awareness by hosting and conducting various tech talks and events by eminent speakers and fellow Microsoft Technical Club members

Both LPU and Amity University-Noida are good Universities in terms of B.Tech CSE programs with unique curriculum and placements. As per experience, I must say that LPU provides great academic exposure to its students. It provides a chance to the students to attend guest lectures or workshops so that they get to learn as much as they can. LPU is far way ahead of any other institute in many parameters such as rankings, exposure, and placements. The university has been ranked high by outer agencies also with regard to placements of our students. Let me highlight what I have out figured: LPU adopts new technologies faster than anyone, they update their curriculum even after each semester by taking feedback from the students and also meeting the latest standards. LPU focuses on practical knowledge a lot, they have high-tech labs and a dedicated MAC lab for iOS development, each core subject has a different practical subject for it. Also in today generation knowledge and education is not only based on textbooks but also on the outside world, thinking out of the box and overall learning that's why LPU offers their students to participate in a lot of activities and events, the environment of LPU is very good and the academics tasks of LPU are so well planned that even in a course like Engineering you'll be able to manage time for exploring other things. Placements at LPU have always been good, LPU has set the bar very high due to its record-breaking placements. Computer Science students of LPU are working with hundreds of leading IT giants of the world, from Google to Microsoft to Apple.
